Terms, Privacy & Refunds
Plain English, like everything else here. Last updated August 2026.
πΈ Refund policy
30-day money-back guarantee on every paid kit, toolkit, and pack. No forms, no hoops.
Every product shows you the first letter or document free before you pay, so you can judge the quality up front. If you buy and it still isn't right for your situation, email customer.service@kitsforthat.com from the email you used at checkout within 30 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full. A sentence about why helps us improve, but it isn't required.
All purchases are one-time payments. There are no subscriptions, so there is nothing to cancel β buying once never signs you up for anything.
π Privacy policy
Short version: we collect almost nothing, because the product is built not to need it.
What happens on the site
The letter and document generators run entirely in your browser. What you type into a generator β names, addresses, amounts, your situation β is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored by us. It exists only on your device. Unlock status is stored in your browser's local storage on your device.
What we actually collect
- Payments: handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card number. Stripe shares with us the basics of the transaction (product, amount, and the email you provide at checkout) so we can help you with your order, and β about a month after a purchase β to send one short follow-up asking how the kit worked out. That's a single email, not a list: no marketing follows it, and ignoring it is completely fine. Stripe's own privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
- Email: if you email us, we have your email and what you wrote. We use it to reply, and for nothing else.
- Hosting logs: our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, pages requested) to run and secure the service.
What we don't do
- No advertising trackers, no analytics scripts, no cookies set by us, no selling or sharing of data with anyone, ever.
- No accounts, no passwords, no marketing emails, no newsletter.
To have anything deleted (like your order email thread), just ask: customer.service@kitsforthat.com.
π Terms of use
- What this is: Kits For That provides self-help document templates and legal information, operated by IdaMil LLC. We are not a law firm, we are not your attorney, and nothing on these sites is legal advice. Using the sites does not create an attorney-client relationship.
- Do your own checking: laws change and situations differ. We verify the legal facts on these sites on a regular schedule and stamp pages with the verification date, but you are responsible for confirming that a document fits your situation and your state's current law before using it. When the stakes are high, talk to a licensed attorney β many of our guides tell you exactly when we think you should.
- License: when you buy a kit, you get a personal-use license: generate, edit, print, and send your documents for your own matters (or your own business's matters), on any of your devices. You may not resell, republish, or redistribute the templates themselves.
- Unlock codes: your unlock code is for your personal use only, on your own devices. Codes that are posted or shared publicly will be rotated, and access under a shared code ends there β no replacement is issued. Codes donβt leak by accident. Keep yours private and it will keep working for as long as you need it.
- No guarantees of outcome: a well-written letter improves your odds; it cannot guarantee any legal result. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it.
- Free tools: the free tools are provided as-is, free forever, with the same no-legal-advice caveat.
- Contact: IdaMil LLC β customer.service@kitsforthat.com.
